3. Submitting your site to search engines
Before your site can be indexed the search engines have to know about it. Most major search engines provide a free method for including your site in their directories. The following links can be used to submit your site to each of the search engines. Please note in some cases you might need to sign up for an account with the search engine. These are free accounts that can be used to manage additional advanced services with the search engines:
Google: http://www.google.com/addurl/
Yahoo: https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
MSN: http://search.msn.com.sg/docs/submit.aspx
When submitting your url you will submit your full site address as http://www.domain.tld such as http://www.levelfieldhelp.com. You do not need to submit each page of your website. Also you only need to do this one time. If you resubmit your site the search engines may consider this a spamming technique and can drop your site from the index.
We also recommend that you NEVER use any automated site submission tools as the major search engines do not support those tools and can opt not to include sites that are mechanically submitted in their database.
