Type 1: Single Promotion
The most common type of promotion that agents build are single itinerary promotions. Some common uses for this type of promotion include:
- Promoting a cruise that an agent might have group space or just wants to promote based on their own experience on the cruise.
- An Information page for a particular Group Package that an agent is servicing for a client
- A Custom Tour that an agent has put together and wants to promote on their website.
Example: Building a Single Itinerary Cruise Promotion
The most common type of promotions that are built are for a single itinerary cruise. We will use that for our primary example:
1. Getting Started: Select Cruises and Single promotion in the Type 1a and 1b sections and click next to continue

Make sure to click the Next button to move to the next screen
2. Select Supplier & Itinerary: Select the supplier you want to feature from the pull down menu labeled: My promotion will feature:
Then select the appropriate itinerary from the list of itineraries. If you see the destination and ship listed multiple times please click the Itinerary name to make sure you have the correct dates.
Click next to contintine

3. Overview: We will break down the next screen into 3 sections
Promotions Teaser Box

- Promotion Name: Add a decriptive and enticing name to help draw attention to the promotion.
- Description: A descriptive paragraph or teaser text will help peak your guests interest in a promotion and provides a good block for search engines to index.
- Image: Add a small thumbnail image to help draw readers attention.
- Display my promotion for these dates: Allows you to set a start and an end date for your promotion to show on the website.
Show Only To Travel Agents

- Miscellaneous Notes: Allows you to include notes or special instructions to agents whom have a login to your account. This is an optional field.
- Allow automatic supplier pricing updates for this vacation: Control whether supplier pricing updates will be reflected in your promotion. If you have a guaranteed rate for this sailing then you would select no.
- Promotional Code: You can create a promotion code that your visitors can reference so that you can tell which promotion they are inquiring about.
- This promotion should be viewable by travel agents only. (Do not show this promotion to site visitors): Prevents promotion from displaying on website. Information is available only to agents whom you have granted login access to your Dashboard.

4. Dates & Pricing

- Allows you to include any or all dates to the sailing
- Change the Cabin Decription if needed.
- Change the pricing from published retail pricing to your own group rates when applicable
- Add a new date if we do not have the date(s) you need in the system.

5. Content

Much like the overview section allows you to build the teaser box the Content step allows you to build the promotional page for your site:
- Title: This is the page title.
- Subtitle: This is the page subtitle
- Body: This is the main descriptive content. There is no limit to this info. Write as much as you need but be concise and to the point.
- Image: Allows you to include an image on the page.
- Cruise Ship: Allows you to change the Cruise Ship if needed.

6. Things To Do

In the Things To Do section you can select any appropriate attribute that is relevant to your promotion. Each selected attribute will display the promotion on the corresponding page in the Activities and Interests section of your website.
7. Meta Tags

The meta tags section allows you to add additional information that is only available to search engines. This meta data can aid the search engines in indexing your site so that it can be found by potential customers.
- Description: a narrative description. Can be the same or similar to the description used in the teaser box.
- Keywords: these are key words that you would expect people to use to find deals on the search engines.
Click Finish to complete the promotion
