  • click the Download this as a file link:
  • Next be sure to select the Save File Option rather than the Open with option

Archiving Groups of messages or entire folders

The Levelfeild Webmail Interface provides a mechanism to Archive Groups of messages or entire folders of messages into a ZIP file archive that contains the email files in a format that can be opened by pop3 mail client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, or Windows Mail.

Follow these steps to Archive a Grouping of messages or an entire folder:

  1. Navigate to the folder that has the messages that you want to save. For example the Sent folder.
  2. Select the messages you want to select by click on the check box to the left of the message.  If you want to select All messages on the page then click the Toggle All button above the message list.  If your folder has multiple pages then you can use the Show All link. NOTE: If you have a large number of pages and use the Show All function your browser may time out.
  3. Click the Archive button at the bottom of the message list
  4. Select save on the Save File dialog box.  If you are saving multiple files be sure to change the name of each download so that they do not get overwritten
    .
  5. The archive will be a zip compressed folder that has the messages stored with a file name that includes the sender and subject
  6. Once you have saved the archive file you can delete the messages that were seelcted for archival.  Remember to Purge the trash folder to actual delete the files and recover the quota space.
